Kym Marsh has taken the time to remove her husband Scott Ratcliff's name from her Instagram bio after the couple's shock split. The former Coronation Street star wed her Army Major and Scots husband in October 2021 in a military wedding at Sandhurst.
But now, after only 19 months together, the pair have allegedly called off their marriage. According to sources, the two only got to see each other a couple of times a week which put a severe strain on their relationship.
Their decision to go their separate ways is said to have been an amicable decision, as they reportedly had a "trial split" just after their first anniversary, reports the Mirror. Eagle-eyed fans of the actress have noticed that she no longer has a sweet tribute to Scott in her social media biography.
Previously, her description read: "Mum to David, Emilie, Polly and Archie [heart emoji] YaYa to Teddy, Polly and Clay. Wife to Scott. Actor, presenter singer." And now, she has removed the 'wife to Scott' from the section.
The 46-year-old was also spotted without her wedding ring as she hosted the Pride of Manchester Awards with TSB last night. A source recently revealed the reason behind the Corrie actress' split from her Scots other half.
An insider told OK! Magazine: “Kym and Scott are both saddened by the split. Unfortunately, distance and career paths led to the breakdown.” “Friends thought it was just a glitch and they would get back together but it just hasn’t resolved itself,” said the source.
The source also claimed that their busy schedules and work commitments have been a huge problem for them, despite their attempts to make it work. The source continued: “Scott is a lovely bloke and Kym hopes they will remain friends. He has his career down in Essex. Kym has her family, career and life up North and sadly nothing can change for either of them.”
