Kylie Minogue has expressed her delight at her recent trip down memory lane as she took part in the Neighbours finale with Jason Donovan.
The long-running Australian soap has been axed after over three decades and a number of the show's past favourites are returning to give it a huge send off.
Pop star Kylie, 54, found fame on the soap as Charlene Robinson alongside with Jason, 54, who played Scott Robinson.
Shortly after, the pair became the show's golden couple off-screen too.
And speaking to The Australian ahead of August's airing of the finale, Kylie said: "I wanted to be reminded of being that 19-year-old again, when I would get into my Datsun and fang it to Vermont South or the Network Ten studios at Nunawading,’ [in Melbourne where the show is filmed].
"It was very sweet to be with Jason and to think, 'Wow, we’re still around'."
Kylie's words come after it was hinted the pair will play a prominent role in the finale.
Executive producer Jason Herbison told The Herald Sun earlier in the week that the storyline leak didn't quite explain what the duo will do in the episode .
"What I've read is not what happens which is great," he told the publication. "It hasn't come out yet.'
He continued: "Seeing Kylie back as Charlene was quite a moment. Very special and I think for them too it was a real full circle for them."
The duo's wedding on the show 34 years ago saw 22 million viewers tune in across Australia and the UK.
A reportedly leaked script last month supposedly revealed the fate of the two characters and claimed the pair would deliver the final ever lines for the show.
Their on-screen relationship first came about when Jason's character Scott mistook Kylie's Charlene for an intruder at his neighbour Madge Ramsay's house.
He eventually discovered that she was actually Madge's daughter and after tying the knot years later, the pair quit Erinsborough and moved to Brisbane.
Last month, Kylie classed her reunion on the show as "emotional".
She told Today Extra there will be a lot of "talk about memories" on the edition as viewers so goodbye to the Ramsay Street residents.
