Kylie Minogue has announced her first-ever Vegas residency inside the world-famous Venetian Resort.
The pop superstar, 55, will perform a series of shows at the cabaret-style Voltaire nightclub from November 4 until January.
Minogue shared the news on Instagram, writing: “VEGAS BABY! So excited to headline the all-new @VoltaireLV at @VenetianVegas starting this fall. See you there! #MoreThanJustAResidency.”
The Can’t Get You Out of My Head hitmaker is expected to perform Padam Padam and many more tracks from her forthcoming album Tension.
Minogue is following in the footsteps of Adele, Lady Gaga and Britney Spears as she becomes the latest in a long line of popstars to complete residencies in Las Vegas.
“Today is the day where it all becomes, beautifully real,” she said at a Los Angeles event announcing the residency on Thursday.
“To finally be able to say, yes, I am doing a show in Vegas and to be at Voltaire at the Venetian Resort, it’s just, it’s such a good match,” the Australian singer said.
Speaking about performing at Voltaire, she added: “The spirit of Voltaire is one of pure, authentic fun. It’s one I resonate with as a pop artist. My new album Tension is all about the space where the intimate and universal come together and Voltaire represents just that.”
The Voltaire venue seats “around 1,000” people, according to a representative from the Venetian.
Patrick Nichols, president and chief executive officer of The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, said: “Voltaire will lead a revival in high-calibre nightlife giving guests an unexpected night out, but also the opportunity to see some of their favourite artists in an intimate way.
“It’s a pretty remarkable shift for the market.”
Minogue is the best-selling Australian female recording artist of all time, with 80 million records sold worldwide.
She has sold out huge stadiums across Europe and Asia in the past but has a more modest following in the US.
Tickets for Kylie Minogue’s highly-anticipated Vegas residency go on sale on August 9.
