Kylian Mbappe message on PSG manager's notepad spotted by cameras after 'transfer demand'

Paris Saint-Germain boss Christophe Galtier has been spotted with an intriguing Kylian Mbappe message amid the recent transfer furore surrounding the French superstar.

The forward made headlines earlier this week with various reports claiming that he wanted to quit the Parc des Princes, just months after signing a mega-money contract to stay. Spanish publication Marca claimed that the relationship between Mbappe and the French champions was “completely broken” and there is “no turning back”, leading to suggestions that the forward could leave the club as early as January.

Amid the talk over the World Cup winner’s future, PSG manager Galtier still appears to be making plans for Mbappe.

During coverage of the French giants’ 1-1 draw with Benfica in the Champions League - a match in which Mbappe scored the opener from the penalty spot - the camera panned to the former Nice and Lille boss taking notes during the game.

The back of his notepad revealed one scrawling, which read: "Kylian pref [the right]".

It is suggested by Get French Football News that the note relates to a social media post from Mbappe after the club’s goalless draw with Reims last week. It read “pivot gang”, something that apparently relates to the forward’s aversion to playing up-front on his own. The post was later deleted.

It remains to be seen whether Galtier's message is for his own purposes, Mbappe or if it's a sly dig at all the reports covering the story.

Speaking after the match, the 56-year-old claimed he is attempting to accommodate the former Monaco star. He said: “I am trying to reassure him by finding different options, I don’t know what the club told him before I arrived in the summer, but we are very sensitive as to how he feels and what he says because he is a very important player for the team.”

Meanwhile, PSG's sporting director Luis Campos has denied the previous reports that Mbappe is attempting to plot a route out of the Parc des Princes.

He told Canal Plus: "I am with Kylian Mbappe every day. He has never talked to me about leaving in January. It's not a statement from the player, it's [from the press], and to have such information before a match like this is very serious.

"That's why I'm here, to deny and say clearly that Kylian Mbappe has never spoken to me or to the president [Nasser Al-Khelaifi] to leave PSG in January."

Mbappe, 23, is currently in the midst of another hugely impressive season with PSG. He has scored 12 goals in 13 appearances in all competitions and is current the team’s top scorer ahead of Neymar and Lionel Messi.
