Kylian Mbappe insists PSG can make Bayern Munich ‘uncomfortable’ in second leg to progress in Champions League

Kylian Mbappe has backed PSG to get the better of Bayern Munich in Germany and progress in the Champions League.

PSG have work to do after they were beaten 1-0 at the Parc des Princes in the first leg of the last-16 tie, with Kingsley Coman producing the only goal of the match as he did in the 2020 final between the two sides.

It was a lacklustre display for large periods from PSG, managing just one shot in the opening 45 minutes as they were pushed back by Bayern.

Mbappe started on the bench, still not fully recovered from a hamstring injury, but he was brought on for the final half an hour as the hosts pushed for an equaliser.

Despite clearly being hampered by the injury, Mbappe still burst into life on a couple of occasions and twice had the ball in the back of the net, though was denied first by the linesman’s flag and then by a VAR check.

PSG’s improvement once the Frenchman came on will give them plenty of hope of turning things around in Munich on March 8, as Mbappe called for them to produce a more attacking display.

“Everyone needs to be healthy, sleep well, eat well,” Mbappe told Canal+.

“We can do something there. If we are more offensive, they are uncomfortable. Let’s quickly move on and go again.”
