Kylian Mbappe has reportedly told the PSG board he will not be triggering an extension in his contract to remain at the club beyond 2025.
And that could force their hand to sell him this summer as Real Madrid circle the France forward. Mbappe's time in Paris has been littered with transfer sagas and his dramatic U-turn to stay at the club despite interest from Madrid was one of the stories of the 2021 window. He was then widely expected to join them when his contract was up a year later, but opted to pen a new contract to take him through to 2024 with the option of a further year.
L'Equipe though now say he has told the board he won't be triggering that option and plans to run down his deal and leave in 12 months' time. That means the Parisian side could be forced into selling him now to avoid losing him for free.
