Kylian Mbappe is a big doubt for Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League showdown with Real Madrid on Wednesday after an injury in training on Monday.
The French club feared the World Cup winner had broken a bone in his right foot following a heavy tackle from a team-mate. X-rays showed there is no break but he is now in a race against time to get fit for the second leg of their Champions League tie at the Bernabeu Stadium.
The France star scored the stunning late winner in the first leg at the Parc des Princes last month. And his value to Mauricio Pochettino’s side was shown when the French league leaders lost at Nice at the weekend without their suspended top scorer.
