Kyler Murray attacking rehab ‘the way he needs to attack it’

Perhaps the biggest question facing the Arizona Cardinals this offseason is when quarterback Kyler Murray will be able to come back and play, coming back from his torn ACL.

One report suggests that he might not be ready until midseason.

His exact return is still unknown but Murray is not taking his rehabilitation lightly.

Head coach Jonathan Gannon revealed that one night last week he left the team facility around 9 p.m. and Murray was still in the building rehabbing.

“He has been very eager to attack his rehab the way he needs to attack it to get back and being him,” Gannon said when offensive coordinator Drew Petzing was introduced to the media.

Will Murray be able to be back in Week 1?

“I’m not going to put a timetable on that right now,” he said. “Whenever Kyler is fully health to play, that’s when he will play.”

Gannon noted that Murray is on schedule right now, so that is a good thing.

He probably won’t be ready to start the season, but it sounds like Murray isn’t taking his time on his rehab. He is putting in the necessary hours to get healthy.
