Leeds Rhinos might have won yesterday, but not all aspects of their performance impressed. The Rhinos ended Catalans Dragons' unbeaten start to the season as they launched a stunning comeback to win 32-22.
It was an impressive win for Rohan Smith's side, who showcased an innovative brand of attack that the French outfit simply had no answer for at times. Leeds were rightly praised for their efforts, however Channel 4 pundit Kyle Amor wasn't so keen on one element of their play.
This season, Leeds have made a habit of attempting short kick restarts on a regular basis. It was on show again Catalans, with Leeds engaging in contested restarts on several occasions, with mixed results at the end of it.

But Amor, who had a brief spell with Leeds at the start of his career, expressed his dislike for the tactic, suggesting that it was an attempted shortcut. The Cumbrian shared his views after Leeds had successfully regained the ball.
"Yes, they come up with it but the mindset for me, you're in a game largely nowadays that's a war of attrition and it just for me sends the wrong message out," he said. "You've 22 points conceded and if you don't come up with possession on that you're just inviting them into your own half. What Leeds Rhinos have already shown is that they can't cope because of the number of tries they've conceded, not only in this game but throughout the start to Super League."
As it stands, the Rhinos are currently eighth on the league ladder for points conceded, leaking 124 points at an average 20.66 per game.
