Kwik Fit has said it will close all its centres for the Queen's funeral on Monday, September 19. A bank holiday has been announced as Britain's longest reigning monarch is due to be laid to rest.
The car servicing and repair company said it usually keeps its centres open on bank holidays. But it said this one, when the nation will say its final farewell to Queen Elizabeth II, is being held in unique circumstances.
Many other shops, businesses and supermarkets have said they will close for the day. It comes as the nation continues its period of mourning following the Queen's death last Thursday at the age of 96.
