Kuwait has announced revised working hours for government employees during the holy month of Ramadan, introducing shorter daily schedules and flexible start times under a new framework approved by the Civil Service Commission. The move is intended to ensure continuity in public services while accommodating the needs of employees during the fasting month.
In a statement issued today, the commission confirmed that all government employees will work 4 and a half hours per day throughout Ramadan. The decision has been issued under External Decision No. (1) of 2024 and applies uniformly across all government agencies.
