King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Project (Masam) for clearing mines in Yemen, dismantled, during the third week of June 2022, a total of 1,423 mines planted by the Houthi militias across Yemen, the Saudi Press Agency reported Sunday.

The dismantled mines include 19 anti-personnel mines, 316 anti-tank mines, 1,087 unexploded ordnance and one explosive device, SPA said.

Since the beginning of the project, as many as 346,570 mines have been dismantled, it said.

The Kingdom, represented by KSrelief, seeks through the project to clear Yemeni lands of the mines that have been randomly planted by the militias, and that have caused deaths and injury among children, women, and the elderly.
