KSI planning three more fights in 2023 as Jake Paul fight hangs in balance

KSI has declared that he may fight four times in 2023, meaning that he would compete at least three more times in the next eight months.

The YouTube star has promised to have four fights this year, and already completed one when he knocked out fellow content creator Faze Temperrr in January. He is currently in camp for his second bout of 2023 on May 13 when he will face 9-0 professional boxer Joe Fournier at the OVO Arena Wembley.

KSI has previously stated that his major goal in the boxing ring is a bout with Jake Paul, although negotiations appear to have hit a standstill in recent weeks. And he may already be eyeing up another bout in London at the end of August with his Misfits Boxing promotion set for an event in his hometown later this summer.

"Honestly, I might make it four times this year," KSI said in a video on the Misfits Boxing YouTube channel. "I can't lie man, I'm feeling myself and I'm enjoying it a lot. Yes, camp is hard but I just love the success after it. You put in so much pain throughout each and every camp and then to successfully knock out my opponent there's no greater feeling.

"So yeah, I might be fighting four times this year and whoever the opponent is, they're getting slept. Whatever opponent you put in front of me I'm making sure they're getting knocked out; it could be the winner of the Kingpyn tournament, whoever the hell that is. Jake, Tommy, it could Salt Papi, it could be anyone. Anyone who wants it can get it, and I'm not even capping I'm being for real, I'm that guy, I'm him. Simple."

First thing's first, KSI must get through Fournier on May 13 at Wembley. It will be a big step-up for the Brit, who is marketing the bout as his first against a legitimate professional boxer. He has been ranked by the WBA at light-heavyweight, and once held an international title.

KSI has beaten Luis Pineda, Swarmz and FaZe Temperrr since returning to the ring and has regularly called out Paul without a deal being yet to materialise. However despite stating his ambitions, 'The Nightmare' has even indicated he could move on from his rivalry with Paul to instead pursue a fight with Fury if he wins their rematch which is in talks for this summer.
