YouTube star KSI has hit out at Tommy Fury after he missed weight by almost seven pounds for his fight on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather vs Deji.
Fury, the brother of heavyweight champion Tyson, was set to make his ring return tonight in Dubai against Paul Bamba, a relatively unknown boxer with a record of 5-2. The fight was seemingly contracted at light-heavyweight and Bamba successfully weighed in under the 175lb limit, but Fury came in overweight at 181.4lb and the fight was subsequently cancelled.
KSI has been linked to face Love Island star Fury following his 'two fights in one night' event in August, in which he beat rapper Swarmz and boxer Luis Pineda in farcical matchups. The YouTuber has issued a brutal putdown of Fury for his weight miss, tweeting: "Tommy Fury is an absolute joke".

There was confusion over the contracted weight for the fight as Fury insisted he made the weight he was supposed to despite being seven pounds heavier than Bamba. The American expected Fury to come in no more than two pounds overweight and refused to fight when he found out it was considerably more than that. Fury will now fight Rolly Lambert, a 15-1 Cameroonian boxer with 12 of his wins coming by knockout, but the bout will be an un-scored exhibition.
Fury released a statement on Instagram after his weight fiasco in which he stated: "One contract was given to Paul Bamba and one contract was given to myself. The weight in my contract I made yesterday, so as far as I'm concerned I've done my job, I made weight. Paul Bamba does not want to fight, he never did. I'm here in Dubai, I've got a new opponent and I'm ready to go, so I'll see you all tonight."
Little is known about Fury's new opponent Lambert, but the Cameroonian has fought three times this year and was most recently in action less than three weeks ago. Bamba revealed that he was in the process of negotiating with Fury's father John when a Global Titans official informed him the fight was off.
"Negotiations are subject to everyone agreeing and we all couldn't agree. I appreciate John Fury for being super respectful, if Tommy still wants to fight I will come to the UK no problem. I just need to know the weight ahead of time, Tommy can shoot for his 9-0 and I can shoot for my 6-0," he told Fred Talks Fighting.
