KSI has delivered his verdict on his brother Deji's upcoming bout with Floyd Mayweather, branding the exhibition fight "a f***ing W" before he even steps in the ring.
Mirror Fighting reported last week that talks were in the final stages for a November 13 bout at Dubai's Coca-Cola Arena for an exhibition bout between Mayweather and Deji. And the promotion Global Titans Fight Series, in association with Mayweather Promotions, have announced today that they will be hosting an event, believed to be their fight, on that date.
Deji is the younger brother of KSI, who is the UK's most famous social media influencer and a chart-topping musician. But he's a famous YouTube star in his own right, and has headlined his own pay-per-view event this year against Alex Wassabi as well as garnering over 5million views on DAZN's YouTube channel for his last fight with Yusef 'Fousey' Erakat.
And with the bout seemingly close to being confirmed, KSI has taken to his channel to give his take on the bout, declaring that Deji has won already before even stepping in the ring. He was reacting to posts on his subreddit when a video showed up of his candid reaction to watching Deji beat Fousey, before launching into his thoughts on the Mayweather bout.
"It was kind of emotional because I knew how much it meant to him to get his first W," he said while watching his own celebrations of Deji's victory. "And now it looks like he might be fighting Mayweather. Like, f***ing hell man, Deji skipped all the steps. You've got Bryce Hall, maybe Manny Pacquiao, even Tommy Fury, all these steps.
"My man just leaped past all of them and went 'yeah, I'm fighting Mayweather now'. If it actually happens then g-f***ing-g." Later in the video, he added: "If he pulls this off then f*** me man, what is this world? What is this world? If you told me ten years ago, five years ago, two years ago that Deji was going to be fighting Mayweather I'd have laughed in your face.

KSI's own boxing return is expected to land just two months later, almost to the day, on January 14 in an unnamed American city. Logan Paul will serve as the co-main event, although opponents for both have not been chosen as yet, with names such as Dillon Danis, Tyron Woodley and Andrew Tate being floated for both.
As a promoter, KSI will return for two events before the end of the year with his Misfits Boxing, who have teamed with DAZN for X-Series events in Sheffield and Austin, Texas. The Sheffield event takes place on October 15, while the Austin one is a week after Deji's projected bout on November 19.
