KSI has defended his upcoming fight with Dillon Danis by claiming no-one will be satisfied until he faces Jake Paul.
The YouTube star - real name JJ Olatunji - is looking to step up his activity after returning to the boxing ring in August with two wins over Swarmz and Luis Pineda. He will return to action in the new year when he takes on notorious troll Danis at the OVO Wembley Arena on January 14.
The MMA star has never boxed before and is known primarily for being a training teammate of UFC superstar Conor McGregor. KSI has insisted fans would not have been impressed with his latest announcement even if he fought Tyron Woodley or boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.
"Danis is coming to my hometown," KSI said during a recent YouTube video when discussing his recently announced clash with Danis. "I have seen the comments recently on Instagram, Twitter and YouTube. I know you lot will not be happy until I fight Jake Paul. If I was to fight Woodley you guys would have said 'Jake's already done that, that's old news'. 'Woodley hasn't won since 2018 no-one wants to see that.'
"Alright let me fight Joe Fournier. 'No we don't want Joe Fournier, I don't care if he is 9-0. Have you seen the people he fights, they are trash cans, also he is inactive we want someone who is active for you to fight'. Alright s*** then let me fight Floyd Mayweather. 'We don't even want that, Logan and Deji have already done that. Besides Mayweather is old as f***, he basically weighs half of you, no-one wants to see that'. You guys will just not be happy until I fight Jake Paul."
KSI has already built a rivalry with Danis, as the pair were involved in a heated clash at the weigh-in for the British star's recent Misfits Boxing 3 card. The American punched KSI's hat off before hurling his coffee, which saw the pair separated by security guards.

The pair then came face-to-face in the ring on fight night to announce the clash, which saw them vow to end each other's night early. KSI has re-entered the boxing world with the intention of finally settling his rivalry with Paul, and the bitter foes have already agreed to a winner-takes-all clash next year.
And the British star has admitted he will then look to hang up his gloves once the end-game fight is completed. "The only reason I've come back into the boxing world is to fight Jake Paul and beat him," KSI continued. "I've said I'm going to fight him in 2023. Ladies and gentlemen once I fight Jake Paul I am done. I would have solidified my legacy and then I am hanging up my gloves forever. I'm not boxing anymore after that so why would we want to rush that?"
