Kroger is following through on a previously announced plan to close 60 stores nationwide by the end of the year, with at least 39 stores already shuttered.
The grocery chain first announced the closures in June 2025, saying most would take place over the following 18 months. Kroger did not release a complete list of impacted locations or a specific timeline at the time and has yet to publicly provide one.
