Kristoffer Ajer and Christian Norgaard return - Predicted Brentford XI to face Manchester United

Brentford return to Premier League action when they face Manchester United on Monday night at Old Trafford.

The Bees head to the north west on a real high, having taken 10 points from a possible 12 in April. Despite the winning run coming to an end against Spurs last week, it was a performance Brentford did themselves proud in having missed a number of key players for the meeting against Antonio Conte's side.

Speaking to the media yesterday afternoon, Thomas Frank confirmed that Kristoffer Ajer and Christian Norgaard are likely to return for the Bees for the trip to Old Trafford - both missed the draw against Tottenham last Saturday with concussion and injury, respectively.

Frank is perhaps likely to stick with 3-5-2 for the clash against Ralf Rangnick's side, with Ajer returning to the right of a back three with Pontus Jansson and Mads Bech Sorensen retaining their places in the centre of defence. Ethan Pinnock remains unavailable although Frank mentioned he could return for the home clash against Southampton next weekend.

Norgaard is likely to return to his number six role with Christian Eriksen and Vitaly Janelt joining him in the middle of the park. Janelt deputised for the Dane in a more combust and defensive midfield role last weekend and was sublime, but is likely to play in the number eight role.

Unsurprisingly, the attack is likely to stay unchanged, with Bryan Mbeumo and Ivan Toney partnering each other up front. The duo will be relishing the opportunity to target a United defence that has been exposed throughout the season, and is very vulnerable at the moment.
