Dame Kristin Scott Thomas has confirmed her wedding to John Micklethwait.
It was recently reported that the 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' star, 64, had tied the knot in secret with the Bloomberg editor-in-chief at an intimate ceremony in September, and now the fiercely private actress has shared some details about their special day.
Revealing the traditional British dish guests chowed down on, she told chef Ruth Rogers' 'Ruthie’s Table 4' podcast: "We had coronation chicken. It was a treat, it was absolutely delicious."
Host Ruth told listeners that the British-French actress is "basking in love and joy".
Introducing her guest, she said: "Sitting here today, she is basking in love and the joy of just a few weeks ago getting married to the editor and my friend John Micklethwait."
The 'Slow Horses' star didn't divulge much more about their special day, but did share the special gift her sister had made for her.
She said: "She got all the family recipes that my mother had collected, from my great grandmother in Scotland, to my other grandmothers all over the place, on both sides of the family. She scanned them and made them into a book for me."
Kristin was married once before to gynecologist François Olivennes, from 1987 until 2005, and has three children with him.
The ‘Fleabag’ actress also mentioned her 'Slow Horses' co-star Jack Lowden's recent wedding to his 'Mary Queen of Scots' co-star Saoirse Ronan and said working on the British spy thriller series since 2022 has been “bliss” because of the “stability” it afforded her.
She said: "So much life happens in those four years, people have died, people have got born, people got divorced, people have got married. This year alone we have had two weddings, we had Jack’s and we had mine.
"I’ve been longing for stability and not tearing around the world and being able to sleep in the same bed for more than two weeks. Bliss. This is that sort of job. The same people behind the camera for four years."
When previously asked about John, she told the Financial Times: "I'm not going to talk about him. I'm talking about me."
