Kristen Stewart has spoken out after people on social media said she should play the next Joker in the next Batman film.
Speaking to Variety, she didn’t seem keen on the idea, which would see her play alongside her ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson who has the lead role.
She said: “I love the energy behind that. It’s really been done so well.
“I feel like, maybe, we don’t traipse over, but I love that gusto. Let’s figure something else out.
“I’m totally down to play a freaky, scary person.”

When asked whether it was a firm “no”, she added: “Not ‘no,’ but not the most stoked I’ve ever been. Let’s do something new.”
Her comments come after a number of tweets called for Stewart to take up the role in the film, which is set to come out in March 2022.

I would love it if Kristen Stewart was cast as the joker

Although others weren’t so keen and thought people should stop calling on her to take up the part:
Lawd it’s literally not us who asked for k to be joker it was some Twitter movie critics don’t even start that shit with us. 💀 although dc asked for a “Kristen Stewart type” when they were casting batgirl a few years ago so 💀🤡

I love #KristenStewart but can we please quit it with the talk of her possibly playing the #Joker up against #RobertPattinson’s #TheBatman?

Yes we know they did #Twilight together, they also dated and had a messy breakup so please just stop.
It’s incredibly cringeworthy. pic.twitter.com/PMMaSVV0Vr
Those who do want to see Stewart on the big screen soon need not fret for too long as she plays Princess Diana in the new film Spencer which comes out in the UK next month. She also just wrapped on the next David Cronenberg film, Crimes of the Future.
Plenty to watch, then.
