Kristen Stewart and Oscar Isaac are teaming up for a new vampire thriller titled Flesh of the Gods, directed by Panos Cosmatos, known for his work on the 2018 horror film Mandy. The film is being produced by Adam McKay's Hyperobject Industries and Isaac's Mad Gene Media. The screenplay, penned by Andrew Kevin Walker, is set in 1980s Los Angeles and follows a married couple, Raoul (Isaac) and Alex (Stewart), as they navigate a surreal world of hedonism and violence.
The story revolves around the couple's encounters with a mysterious woman and her partying group, leading them into a glamorous yet dark underworld. Cosmatos described the film as existing in the space between fantasy and nightmare, promising a thrilling and hypnotic experience for viewers.
