Tens of thousands of current and former Krispy Kreme employees are approaching a crucial deadline to claim compensation after a major data breach exposed sensitive personal information. Some victims could receive as much as $3,500, though many may walk away with $75, far less depending on the evidence they can provide.
The settlement stems from a cyber incident discovered by Krispy Kreme on 29 November 2024. According to court filings and settlement documents, hackers gained unauthorised access to files containing highly sensitive employee data, including names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and financial account details.
