Though silk pillowcases have become popular over the past few years for their ostensible beauty benefits, as an editor at an interior design magazine, I've found them lacking in style; not the case with Slip. I immediately fell in love with the new 'Lodge' pattern, which has pretty blue and green stripes. As a New Englander, I couldn't help but adore its subtly preppy vibe.
When my celebrity-favorite pillowcase arrived, I was equally impressed by the packaging. The magnetic box screams premium product, and it's just the type of thing I could easily imagine Kris Jenner opening in her Hidden Hills mansion. If it can give me the same lifted, and rejuvenated look as Kris in just a few days, I'm on board, I thought as I opened the box.
What I found in the box was just as impressive: the colors were as vibrant as they looked online.
When I took the silk pillowcase out of the plastic, I found the surface to be incredibly silky and smooth, gliding effortlessly over my skin without snagging. Given that Slipsilk is 100% pure mulberry silk with the highest grade long fibers and a thickness of 22 momme, it's no surprise.

My biggest hang-up in avoiding silk pillowcases thus far has been my worry about how to wash them, assuming that caring for silk bed linen would be a massive pain. However, blessedly, Slip silk pillowcases are machine washable. I ran mine through on a cold cycle with like-colored items, then hung them to dry.
