Grinning Kris Boyd has moved to recreate a moment of TV gold as he produced a sarcastic gasp after learning Brendan Rodgers had left Leicester City.
Back in 2015 the news broke on Sky Sports that Rodgers had left Liverpool during the post match debrief held between Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry - where the stunned Arsenal legend grabs the leg of Anfield favourite Carragher while gasping in what has become an infamous vital clip. Not to be outdone, the Rangers hero was keen to recreate the moment of TV history when he learned that the former Celtic boss had left the English Premier League strugglers.
As the news was announced by Sky Sports host Eilidh Barbour during the coverage of Celtic's visit to Ross County that the Northern Irishman's four year spell at Leicester had come to an end, smirking Boyd quickly placed his hand on the knee of James McFadden - borrowing the now infamous clip of Carragher with Henry. McFadden was quick to brush off his laughing co-pundit as he insisted: "I'm fine, I'm fine."
The chat quickly moved on to the potential of Ange Postecoglou following in Rodgers footsteps and leaving Celtic Park for the Foxes. However, Stiylian Petrov was quick to shut it down.
He said: 'Good managers get linked with good jobs. He is doing a good job at Celtic but I believe he will stay. It's about the project. He has the power, he has the players that he believes can play the style that he preaches. I believe he will stay for another few years."
