Kris Boyd claims Ross Wilson Rangers 'exit' 'best for all parties' as he revisits recruitment failings

Kris Boyd says Ross Wilson leaving Ibrox could be 'best for all parties'.

The Rangers supremo is reportedly a target for Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest, according to the Athletic. It appears the side are looking to appoint the Scot to a 'senior football role' which could see him leave Rangers. Wilson has caught some flak from sections of the Ibrox fanbase alongside Managing Director Stewart Robertson

The 39-year-old previously worked at Watford, Huddersfield Town and Southampton before joining proceedings in Glasgow. But Wilson has been criticised for the club's recruitment policy which former striker Boyd concurs 'hasn't been good enough'. A banner was unveiled against Motherwell last month with the caption 'Time for Change'.

And the ex-Ibrox striker and football pundit believes the potential role at The City Ground would be 'too good to turn down'. He told Sky Sports: "When that is your role at the club you're always going to be judged on it. There's been a lot of criticism flying about I've had my say on it numerous times as well.

"There's no doubt the recruitment at Rangers over the last few years hasn't been good enough. There's no getting away from it and I think the fans have had enough. You've seen them turn on Stuart Robertson and Ross Wilson.

"You don't like to see it but they are the ones that are paid the money and the fans are turning up and they want better.

"If the opportunity comes around for him to go to a massive club in Nottingham Forest then you would feel it would be too good for him to turn down.

"There has been a lot of good things happened. It's not all been negative. But once the fans start to voice their opinion at the level they have recently, it's only going to end one way and it could be best for all parties."
