The third women's Major of the year, the KPMG Women's PGA Championship is taking place at the stunning Sahalee Golf Club in Washington, and there has been some stellar golf played in the opening round already.

Having recently announced she is to retire from full-time pro golf at the close of this season, Lexi Thompson posted a four-under round of 68 on Thursday to lead by one from World No.1 Nelly Korda and Thai superstar, Patty Tavatanakit.
