Kourtney Kardashian shocks fans by revealing she doesn't allow son to eat French fries

Kourtney Kardashian caused a stir amongst her fans on Wednesday after revealing she refuses to allow her 12-year-old son Mason to eat French fries.

In an interview with WSJ Magazine the 43-year-old lifted the lid on her strict ruling during a discussion around her children's eating habits.

The Hulu star, who recently launched her latest brand 'Lemme', which produces all-natural supplemental gummies, discussed how she 'deprives' her kids of certain foods after eating crisps and Lunchables throughout her childhood.

"Today I was having my one-on-one time with my son [Mason] and he said, 'Mom, I need McDonald's French fries today, please. It's been a year since I've had it,'" she said. "I was like, 'Today's not the day, sorry.'"

Fans on Twitter were less than impressed, meanwhile, with one writing: "Her kids are probably gonna develop disordered eating habits and I feel really bad for them."

Another commented: "This is so unhealthy and dangerous to her kids. Clean eating doesn't even mean anything. It's a made up term to sell cleanses."

A third added: "Kourtney K just did this whole interview about clean eating and refusing her son Mason McDonald's fries after a year w/out. This is the same woman who had her placenta made into vitamins and took them all."

And a fourth said: "What's going to happen because Kourtney denies Mason having McDonald's French fries he's going to become as well as the rest of her kids a [McDonald's] addict. Too strict reverses everything you are trying to accomplish. Stupid move. Give in once in a while Kourtney."

The interview also saw Kourtney reveal how Mason, who she shares with her ex, Scott Disick, has been supportive of her 'wellness journey'.

"He’s very smart," she said. "He'll tell me, 'a person was bad because they let me have Cheetos'."

Kourtney and Disick also share 10-year-old daughter, Penelope, and son, Reign, nine.
