Kourtney Kardashian's baby plans as doctor tells her to drink Travis Barker's semen

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker recently tied the knot during three lavish wedding ceremonies.

The newlywed couple have had a whirlwind romance, and it was revealed last month that the pair had already started trying for a baby early in their relationship.

A source told People: “[They] decided to try and get pregnant after they had dated for a few months.”

But despite their early start, the pair have struggled to conceive, the source added.

“They never expected it to be as hard as it's been. It's been especially difficult for Kourtney.

“They still would love to have a baby. Travis is not putting any pressure on Kourtney though. He just wants her to be happy and healthy.”

Since then, Kourtney and Travis have been open about their issues conceiving, as they document their fertility journey on the family’s new Hulu reality series The Kardashians.

And the pair have come across some truly unusual methods in their attempts to have a baby, here’s everything you need to know about their unique fertility journey.

In a bid to improve their chances of conception, Kourtney has been seeing Martha Soffer, an expert in an alternative medicine known as Ayurveda.

And in the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney revealed some unusual advice that her fertility doctor had given her.

Kourtney said that she had thyroid problems and Soffer had recommended that drinking Travis’ semen up to four times a week would help.

Kourtney explained: "I can't remember what he said, if it [her thyroid level] was low or high."

But, she went on, "he told us, well, he told me, that the thing that would help it was drinking [Travis'] c*m, like, four times a week."

"I love this doctor," Travis joked in response.

Kourtney and Travis try fertility cleanse

But it seems that the pair may be going in a different direction when it comes to their fertility journey, instead choosing to participate in a cleanse at Soffer’s Surya Spa.

The cleanse requires them both to abstain from exercise, caffeine and sex.

Kourtney said: “Our last egg retrieval was not successful, so our new thing that we’re going to be trying is a Panchakarma cleanse, which is Ayurvedic [alternate medicine].

“it’s like 3,000 years old, which will get all of the toxins that are deep within our tissue out of our bodies to have better quality eggs. I did this cleanse 10 years ago, I kept telling Travis about this and it’s the one thing we haven’t tried that he’s heard me talk about.”

Kourtney and Travis’ IVF journey

Kourtney and Travis are reported to have started their IVF journey last summer, and the pair have been trying to conceive a child via in vitro fertilisation ever since.

But their journey hasn’t been a smooth one; Kourtney revealed previously that it "hasn’t been the most amazing experience".

“The medication that they've been giving me, they put me into menopause” she explained.

The pair had some hope when they revealed in an episode of The Kardashians earlier this month that they’d had a successful egg retrieval and found out that Kourtney had one promising ovarian follicle.

But there’s been no news of a pregnancy yet, and in their latest episode they revealed that they’d had another unsuccessful egg retrieval.
