Kourtney Kardashian rejected Travis Barker until therapist told her he was a good dad

Kourtney Kardashian initially rejected Travis Barker's approaches for a date as the drummer tried to woo her.

The musician struggled to tempt the reality TV star into going on a date with vegan sushi or a trip to the cinema following her break-up from her children's dad Scott Disick.

Kourtney and Travis are now happily married and enjoying their blended family as they share six kids between them. While the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has Mason, 12, Penelope, ten, and Reign, seven, Travis has kids Alabama and Landon with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, and is also step-dad to Atianna De La Hoya.

And the 43-year-old POOSH founder has revealed her arm was eventually twisted after her therapist got involved.

Speaking to Not Skinny But Not Fat's Apple podcast, Kourtney revealed: "He would ask me to go for sushi or vegan sushi, of course... he would ask me to go to the movies.

"I could never go. I could never. And [the therapist] was like, 'Why? You know, he sounds like a good dad.'"

While this intrigued her, she confessed she initially didn't know what she'd do if he planted the moves on her physically during a date. However, she eventually listened to her therapist and took him up on his offer of a movie.

Prior to their relationship, Travis, 46, admitted he was happy with his life and wasn't particularly looking to marry again having tied the knot twice before. As well as Shanna, Travis was previously married to Melissa Kennedy.

He had explained he was "fine with just being single the rest of my life and being a studio rat" but admitted he now feels like he is "living again'.

He said: "I love my career. I found the love of my life. She's cured me. It feels like I'm living again."

The pair had been trying for a baby together to add to their brood, but Kourtney admitted she felt "pushed" into having IVF treatment and is now just taking things as they come, putting the treatment on hold.

Elsewhere on the podcast she said: "I got to a place where I just felt, like, exactly how timing was everything with me and Travis. I feel - truly - like if it's meant to be, It'll happen."
