Kourtney Kardashian has posted a photo of new driver’s’ license after her name change and fans are convinced she’s ‘shading’ sister Kim.
The POOSH founder uploaded a photo on Instagram and has led fans to believe she is mocking her sister Kim Kardashian.
The image of her driver’s licence was shared after she officially took husband Travis Baker’s last name, with the caption “say my name” - and fans are convinced it is connected to Kim’s episode of The Kardashians.
In season three episode six of The Kardashians, Kim had an entire segment aired of her trying to get the perfect retake of her license photo.
In the segment, the DMV opens just for Kim as she brings in her own lighting and makeup team to get a glamorous picture for what she says is “the most important photo” of her life.
During the episode, Kim shuts down the DMV so she is alone with her glam squad including Chris Appleton and Ariel Tejada so she can make sure that her hair and makeup was flawless for the photo.
“I really just want it to look good, like why not bring a light and glam team? It’s definitely crazy, but I don’t care,” said Kim in the episode.
After perfecting her look, the DMV worker Blanca, takes photos of Kim as her lighting team gathers around. Kim’s team also asks if they can take a few shots to compare the images and even asks the photographer for her to airdrop the photos.
After this dramatic setup aired, fans had mixed reactions to the episode. Some viewers said she is being inconsiderate to the DMV workers and out of touch with reality, while others praise her level of extraness and think the setup was “truly iconic.”
Someone Tweeted after the episode, “The #Kardashians really said how can we be even more unrelatable than we already are? Oh, let’s shut down a DMV, bring a glam squad, get full hair and makeup done, and take a picture. Beyond out of touch. It’s truly impressive.”
Another fan felt the opposite and Tweeted with a Gif of the episode, “Just Kim Kardashian shutting down the DMV and bringing her makeup squad for her drivers licence photo….truly iconic #TheKardashians”
After a DMV visit turned into a glam photoshoot, Kim was able to leave with a gorgeous shot for her licence after only two photos were taken.
Many fans believe Kourtney’s recent post is a callout to this controversial episode, while others defend Kourtney saying that she is simply sharing an exciting milestone in her relationship with her husband and it is not at all related.
