Kolkata: For kids, docs stress early detection of post-Covid illness

KOLKATA

KOLKATA: Early detection of MIS-C (Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children) while adhering to multiprong diagnostic markers has been advised in the revised protocol for clinical management of Covid-19 in children.

A detailed guideline on how to investigate and manage MIS-C cases forms a large part of the revised protocol — issued by the health ministry on Thursday — for management of Covid-19 among those below 18 years.
