KOLKATA: Confusion among passengers over the enhanced parking fees at Kolkata airport eased somewhat on Thursday after app cab aggregators updated the parking fee from Rs 60 to Rs 100 on the apps, thereby integrating it with the estimated fare displayed to riders. Passengers, though, continued to fret over having to pay extra, making it 20%-25% more expensive to travel home from the airport than to travel to the airport.
TOI had reported on Thursday how arriving flyers were facing chaos due to sudden hike in parking fees for app cabs, with no clarity on whether it is included in the fare generated on the app or has to be paid separately.
