Kolkata: Appeal against ban on pets at New Town parks

KOLKATA: Pet owners in New Town have urged the New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) to remove boards barring pets from all parks and green spaces in the township.

Boards have been installed at different places, including open green spaces that are called green verge in the township, barring entry of dogs. The reason cited is that they commit nuisance and dirty the place.
