KOCHI: A 26-year-old Navy sailor was arrested by the City police for allegedly raping and impregnating a minor girl.
The arrested person has been identified as Hansraj of Alwar, Rajasthan. Kannamaly police said the accused was arrested and remanded in judicial custody on Wednesday.
A police officer said the incident happened when his wife had gone to his hometown. According to police, the accused befriended the girl and sexually abused her.
