KOCHI: Hours after a woman was found dead near Aluva railway garage on Thursday evening, a 33-year-old man reportedly committed suicide.
The woman died reportedly after getting hit by a train. The man was spotted jumping from the Aluva Marthanda Varma bridge on Thursday night and his body was found from the river on Friday.
The deceased persons have been identified as Manju Raj (41), wife of Raj Kumar, and Sreekanth (33), son of Jayachandran.
Police said that they have found that the duo knew each other, and an investigation is on.
“We have found that there was some connection between the deceased persons. But we are yet to confirm whether the two incidents are connected,” said police.
