SANTA ANA, Calif. — Two new Knott’s Scary Farm haunted mazes will take visitors into a world of demonic creatures conjured by an ancient relic and on a perilous hunt for bloodthirsty vampires when the granddaddy of all Halloween events returns to the Buena Park theme park.
The new Grimoire and Bloodline 1842 haunted mazes join a lineup of seven returning mazes and five returning scare zones at Knott’s Scary Farm 2022.
The 49th season of Halloween Haunt kicks off Sept. 22 and runs on 26 select nights through Oct. 31 at Knott’s Berry Farm. Scary Farm 2022 tickets are now on sale.
The Grimoire maze enters a world revealed by a mysterious spell book whose dark stories turn nightmares into a reality filled with demonic creatures.
The Bloodline 1842 maze arms visitors with the latest Bellatorian weaponry as they embark on a perilous journey with the immortal Daybreakers. The maze travels through the streets of Valdonia in a hunt for bloodthirsty Valhymphri vampires.
Knott’s will bring back three live shows during Scary Farm — two of them with new twists.
The reimagined “Le Magnifique Carnaval du Grotesque” show on the Calico Mine Stage features a collection of death-defying feats and carnival acts.
The latest evolution of the “Conjurers: Dark Magic” show returns to the Bird Cage Theater where the Undertaker has a few tricks up his sleeve that he learned in his dealings with death and the afterlife.
Also returning for Scary Farm 2022 is the outrageous and off-the-cuff “Puppet Up! Uncensored” live show featuring improvisational comedy and puppetry performed by puppeteers from the Jim Henson Company — best known for its work on “Sesame Street” and “The Muppets.” The zany shenanigans of the show performed by a bawdy and brazen puppet cast are driven by suggestions from the audience.
As in seasons past, the Timber Mountain Log Ride will get a Halloween Hootenanny transformation with appearances by the Green Witch and the Calico Coffin Creeper Band along with a glowing jack-o’-lantern labyrinth.
Knott’s Scary Farm 2022 runs on Sept. 22-25, 29-30 and Oct. 1-2, 6-9, 13-16, 19-23 and 27-31.
