Newcastle and David Klemmer have resolved the disciplinary dispute that threatened to force the representative forward out of the club.
The Knights stood Klemmer down after the former Test prop allegedly verbally abused trainer Hayden Knowles when he was asked to come off during Sunday's NRL loss to Canterbury.
Klemmer, his management, and the club met this week to discuss the matter and the Knights confirmed on Friday the 28-year-old had accepted responsibility for his actions.
He has resumed training with his teammates and has been issued a suspended fine - the sum of which remains confidential.
"The Newcastle Knights take all Human Resources matters very seriously, and all such matters will be treated in an identical manner," the Knights said.
"The club has instigated a new procedure to ensure due process and procedural fairness is consistently applied, including mediation by the Director of Football prior to escalation of any matters to the Group Chief Executive Officer or Human Resources in future."
Newly-minted director of football Peter Parr will front the media in Newcastle on Friday afternoon to address the incident.
