‘Knife Angel’ arrives in Edinburgh as mum marks first anniversary of son’s death

A MUM who lost her son to knife crime was “sad but honoured” as a 27ft sculpture arrived in Edinburgh almost a year to the day since he was fatally stabbed in the city.

The Knife Angel is made from 100,000 seized knives and has been officially unveiled at Kirkgate, at the bottom of Leith Walk, as part of a 30-day programme aimed at raising awareness of knife crime and the impact of violence.
