Knife and laughing gas found at scene of A52 car crash

A knife and cannisters of nitrous oxide, otherwise known as laughing gas, were discovered by officers at the scene of a car crash. Nottinghamshire Police attended the Nottingham Knight roundabout on the A52, near West Bridgford, on Thursday, January 26.

Officers were driving through the area at around 10:50pm when they witnessed a car crash into the side of a roundabout. The car sustained significant damage and the driver was issued with a traffic offence report (TOR) for driving without due care and attention.

The driver, a 19 year old man, opened the car boot whilst waiting to be recovered, which is when officers saw two dozen cannisters of nitrous oxide inside. A further search was then carried out of the car, which led to a knife and balloons being found.
