VISAKHAPATNAM: Kolkata Knight Riders broke the bank to acquire the services of Australian pacer Mitchell Starc at a record price of Rs 24.75 cr, most in the history of the Indian Premier League. However, the speedster, who was returning to the IPL after a gap of a decade, had a forgettable outing so far.
He conceded 53 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad and 47 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru to return with figures of 100/0 in his eight overs. But Knight Riders’ bowling coach Bharat Arun backed the lanky left-arm pacer saying that bowler will come out all guns blazing.
