Kirkcudbright RNLI has launched the first of a series of fundraising coffee and cake mornings to be held this year.
And Sunday’s social occasion at the lifeboat station attracted a steady stream of supporters.
Kirkcudbright Lifeboat press officer Christine Collins organised the fundraiser, which was held in the crew room.
She said: “The event was very well supported and we raised £133.
“It also gave people the chance to enjoy our recently completed RNLI heritage garden.
“We are planning a series of monthly coffee mornings over the next six months so we can rake a bit more money in.
“That was our first one since 2020 due to Covid.”
Christine added: “If anyone wishes more information or to help out as a volunteer they can contact me on 07971160550.
“These events are important because the RNLI is funded entirely by voluntary contributions.”
Monthly coffee and cake mornings are planned at the station up until September.
