Kirk Cousins didn’t play in the Vikings’ first preseason game Thursday night, but still found a way to turn himself into a meme thanks to some hilarious sideline antics.
Cousins, like other Vikings players sitting out, rocked his jersey without pads for the contest while supporting backup quarterbacks Nick Mullens and Jaren Hall. But the 34-year-old took things one step further, wearing his fully strapped helmet while on the sideline. The NFL Network broadcast crew caught footage of Cousins in almost-full uniform, and fans had plenty of jokes about the oft-memed quarterback.

After watching Cousins in Netflix’s new Quarterback series and seeing his antics over the years, fans weren’t surprised to see him suited up like this for a preseason game.
Kirk Cousins wearing a helmet all game is the most Kirk Cousins thing ever.

Kirk Cousins standing on the sideline with a helmet + chin strap locked in for a preseason game he won't play in = peak Kirk Cousins.

Way to stay locked in, Kirk.
