After the Minnesota Vikings’ win in London over the New Orleans Saints, left tackle Christian Darrisaw put his icy chain on quarterback Kirk Cousins and it went viral. It was an element of fun and camaraderie that we hadn’t seen under Mike Zimmer who was more of a strictly business, no-nonsense kind of coach.
Things are a little different now with the Kevin O’Connell era. Things are a more fun vibe and the team feels incredibly relaxed versus previous seasons.
Nothing is more indicative of Cousins wearing the icy chains that are his teammates’. On the flight home from Miami on Sunday, Cousins didn’t just have one chain on, he had multiple around his neck with a cheesy grin.

It’s no secret that Cousins doesn’t have the most charisma in the NFL, but this is a really fun side to the Vikings quarterback.
