Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart has a message for Georgia football fans ahead of the Bulldogs’ season opener against the Clemson Tigers on Aug. 31.
Smart shared his message in a recent interview with Phillip Dukes of On3.
“Yeah, we need you. This is going to be one hell of a season, it’s going to be some great road games, and we’re getting ready to start up,” said Smart. “And my expectation is for us to take over Atlanta and Mercedes-Benz when we play Clemson and have an unbelievable atmosphere and create it to be like a home game for us.”
There’s no doubt that Georgia has a great road schedule. The Bulldogs face Texas, Alabama and Ole Miss on the road this year. Georgia fans will need to travel well to help mitigate the home field advantage for this trio of top teams.
Georgia’s season will run through Atlanta. The Bulldogs open their season against Clemson in Atlanta. Georgia will look to play in the SEC championship and a pair of College Football Playoff games in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
