King Charles III has thanked Scots for its support in arranging the Queen's final journey from Balmoral to London.
A tweet from the Royal Family account this morning thanked the people of Aberdeenshire and all others who played their part after Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8. In particular they showed their gratitude to the emergency services for helping with the massive operation.
King Charles and The Queen Consort came to Scotland to meet the people in person and show their appreciation.
Pictures show the King meeting delighted members of public in Aberdeenshire and shaking their hands.
Others show Charles chatting and having a cup of tea with firefighters while also meeting a police horse.
The Tweet stated: "The King and The Queen Consort have met the team, including fire and ambulance services, officers from Police Scotland.
"And volunteers, who helped support Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s final journey from Balmoral to London."
