King Charles' silhouette appears for first time on Royal Mail stamps - but with key change

Royal Mail Queen Elizabeth II David Gold Andrew Davidson King Charles III

The first stamps featuring the silhouette of King Charles III are set to go on sale, with the historic floral set a tribute to the monarch's love of gardening.

Charles' profile, in silver and facing to the right in the top left hand corner, appears on a collection of 10 special Royal Mail stamps celebrating the nation's favourite flowers.

Unlike Queen Elizabeth II's famous silhouette, the King is not depicted wearing a crown.
