King Charles has saved the World Conker Championships (WCC).
Organisers were concerned the contest would be called off after collectors reported a shortage of large, competition-standard horse chestnuts, but they have received a package of more than 300 "really good quality" conkers from Windsor Castle, meaning the 60th anniversary tournament can go ahead.
