King Charles has paid tribute to all mothers around the world and to anyone who may be missing their mums today in a touching message posted on social media.
The monarch and Queen Consort shared two photos - one portraying Charles, as a child, with the late Queen Elizabeth II and the other showing Camilla smiling with her mum.
This Sunday marks the first Mother's Day since the Queen's death - and Charles paid tribute not only to his late mother but to all mothers "everywhere".
The post, shared on Twitter and Instagram, reads: "To all mothers everywhere, and to those who may be missing their mums today, we are thinking of you and wishing you a special #MothersDay."
The King had a special bond with his mother and when he was proclaimed monarch after her death in September, he paid a moving tribute to her.
He spoke of his mother's "dedication and devotion", adding her death was an irreparable loss.
During the Accession Council, Charles said: "My lords, ladies, and gentlemen it is my most sorrowful duty to announce to you the death of my beloved mother, the Queen.
"I know how deeply you, the entire nation – and I think I may say the whole world – sympathise with me in the irreparable loss we have all suffered.
"It is the greatest consolation to me to know of the sympathy expressed by so many to my sister and brothers and that such overwhelming affection and support should be extended to our whole family in our loss.
"To all of us as a family, as to this kingdom and the wider family of nations of which it is a part, my mother gave an example of lifelong love and of selfless service.
"My mother's reign was unequalled in its duration, its dedication and its devotion. Even as we grieve, we give thanks for this most faithful life."
Last year, Princess Charlotte paid a moving tribute to her late grandmother, Princess Diana.
Even though she did not get to meet her grandchildren, William has spoken in the past about how he talks to his children about their granny.
Charlotte wrote a card with a message that read: "Dear Granny Diana, I am thinking of you on Mother's Day.
"I love you very much. Papa is missing you. Lots of love Charlotte xxxxxxxxx".
Meanwhile, older brother George used joined-up writing on bright green card to say: "Dear granny Diana, Happy happy Mother's Day.
"I love you very much and think of you always, sending lots of love from George xxxxx."
