King Charles has carried on with one of the Queen's favourite pre-Christmas traditions by holding a huge lunch party for his extended family.
Each year, the late monarch would host up to 70 members of her family at Buckingham Palace for a festive party before heading off to Sandringham for the big day.
And today the King and Queen Camilla carried on with the tradition - although the bash was held at Windsor Castle instead of Buckingham Palace - and attendees are likely to include the Prince and Princess of Wales as well as Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
However, among those not attending is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, whose explosive Netflix series made a series of bombshell claims about the Firm last week.
Today, the King was spotted arriving at the castle in a smart suit with Camilla pulling into the venue a short while later wearing a blue puffa-style jacket.
Also seen travelling into the castle were Prince Edward, Sophie Wessex and their 19-year-old daughter Lady Louise Windsor.
Meanwhile Princess Anne was also spotted being driven into the castle by her husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.
While her daughter Zara and son-in-law Mike Tindall, who recently starred in I'm A Celeb, were also there with their children Mia, Lena and Lucas.
It is the first event like this to be held since the death of the Queen in September and also the first to be held since 2019 with the last two year's cancelled due to the Covid pandemic.
The event is a private affair but it is thought the royals usually celebrate with wine, crackers and a festive feast.
However, Mike Tindall once dished on the table set-up at the event. And even though children are invited to the event, they don't sit with the other royals. Instead, they have their own room, where they enjoy their Christmas meal.
In 2019, the former rugby player spoke about the celebrations on his rugby podcast, and shared a few exciting details.
His co-stars James Haskell and Alex Payne asked which of the seven tables he sat.
They asked: "Do you find yourself upgrading every year and getting closer to the main table or are you off out the back?
"Is there a promotion and relegation based on the year's performance? Because if there is I imagine you're pretty much sitting on the right-hand side of Her Majesty."
Mike stayed quiet throughout the jokes, but later added: "I was on Prince Charles's table, it was lovely."
He then divulged that the royal little ones have their own table in a separate room away from the adults.
He said: "This is the family lunch, there were seven tables so there must have been about 70 of us there.
"The kiddies have their own little one in a different room."
