King Charles expresses love for Harry and Meghan as he praises their lives away from Royal Family

King Charles has expressed his love for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in first address to the nation as monarch.

He made the declaration as he spoke from Buckingham Palace this evening, where he also praised their non-royal lives in California.

During his historic address this evening, he said: “I want also to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas." Both Harry and Meghan were already in the UK when news of the Queen's failing health broke. Harry rushed to Balmoral, where Elizabeth II died, and today travelled back to Windsor, where Meghan remained.
